- 4 oz Cream cheese softened, full-fat or light
- ¼ cup Milk
- 1 ½ cups French fried onions more for topping

Prep the green beans: Blanch fresh beans until bright green and tender-crisp. If using frozen, thaw and drain. Canned beans should be drained.
Make the creamy sauce: Soften cream cheese in the microwave if needed. Whisk it together with cream of mushroom soup, milk, and optional garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper.
Combine and assemble: In a large bowl, mix green beans with the cream cheese sauce. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle with French fried onions.
