Instructions

  • Prep Ingredients: Thinly slice kielbasa on the bias. Prepare vegetables by slicing onions and peppers into thin strips, chopping broccoli into small florets, and slicing other chosen vegetables.
  • Sauté Aromatics: Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add a generous amount of cooking oil (peanut oil recommended). Once hot, add minced garlic and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
  • Brown Kielbasa: Add sliced kielbasa to the skillet. Stir-fry until kielbasa is browned and slightly crispy on the edges.
  • Cook Vegetables: Add the prepared vegetables to the skillet. Stir-fry until tender-crisp, maintaining their vibrant colors.
  • Add Sauce: Combine soy sauce, honey, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a small bowl. Pour over the stir-fry, stirring to coat all ingredients evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well-mixed and heated through.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Chop your vegetables in advance to save time.
  • Dietary Adaptations: Substitute tofu or tempeh for a vegetarian option. Use gluten-free soy sauce for a gluten-free meal.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps. Garnish with sesame seeds, fresh herbs, lime juice, or sriracha for added flavor.
